| Young Josh goes "Back to Basics" with his debut album release. |
The wait is over and it was worth every second. Young Joshua’s debut album “Back to Reality” is set to drop July 29th (exclusively at www.317media.com) and trust me, this is an album that you are not going to want to miss. I was really expecting to hear a album filled with great beats and godly lyrics but Josh gave so much more that that. The album also is a call to action. Josh challenges and encourages all those that follow Christ to go out and make a change in our schools, jobs and neighborhoods. To walk in holiness, like God has called us to walk. Some might be thinking that they know plenty of rappers that do these exact things. My response is, not in the way Josh has done it. Josh’s technique is different.
The production on the album is crazy and very diverse. Josh did a great job of picking beats that match the intensity of each song. Lyrically “Back to Reality” is 110% Christ focused, drawing the listener to examine themselves in light of the scripture. I decided to leave information out that pertain to Josh and how he rapped on the album, guest appearances and the producers list because the albums focus was Christ and I want all that read this to know that. I will say that “Back to Reality is one of the most solid albums I have heard and highly recommend it.
“Back to Reality” changed the way that I view and listen to music. After listening to Josh’s album, I was truly convicted about things in my life. If you can listen to this album without reflecting over your life and noticing the areas of your life that need to be changed, then you missed the whole point of the album. “Back to Reality” is a call to action album, calling us to work on the areas of our life where we are not giving ALL to God.
2 Timothy 2:24-26
“And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.” |
